(C/NF) In response to reftel, Charge spoke with MFA U/S Khalid Jarallah and with Dr. Ahmed Nasser Mohammed Al-Sabah (Shaykh Ahmed),Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaykh Dr. Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah's Chief of Staff, on July 14-15 to inform the GOK about the July 31 GCC 2 meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh and to urge participation by the FM. Shaykh Ahmed confirmed to Charge on July 16 that the FM would/would attend the GCC 2.
