(SBU) We delivered reftel demarche on May 8 to the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs Multilateral Affairs Bureau, Principal
Assistant Secretary for Human Rights issues, Astanah Banu
Shri Abdul Aziz. Astanah assured us that the Government of
Malaysia would consider the points raised in reftel regarding
Belarus' candidacy and expressed hope that indeed a third
nation would come forward as a alternative.
