(SBU) We delivered reftel demarche and non-paper on March 23
to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Multilateral Affairs
Bureau, Principal Assistant Secretary for Human Rights, Ms.
Astanah Banu Shri Abdul Aziz. Astanah did not provide us
with a substantive response. We note, however, that Malaysia
is the current Chair of the Organization of Islamic
Conference and presumably fully supports the proposed motion
to extend the referenced mandate.
