(C) The Malaysian Chief of Armed Forces, Admiral Mohd Anwar,
has told the Embassy Defense Attach that radars proposed in
Post's 1206 request will be controlled by the Malaysian Armed
Forces, not the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA).
We expect the recipient to be the Royal Malaysian Navy.
Post reiterates its support for the proposed 1206 funding and
requests that it be notified to Congress.
