Post received a diplomatic note, dated 26 April 2007, from the GoJ stating that it wishes to withdraw its candidature for election to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The elections are scheduled for the 36th session of the ICAO Assembly from 18-28 September, 2007. The text of the diplomatic note is as follows: Begin text: (Complimentary Opening) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade...has the honor to inform of the decision of the Government of Jamaica to withdraw its candidature for election to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Category III, the elections for which are scheduled to be held during the 36th Session of the ICAO Assembly, from 18th-28th September 2007, in Montreal, Canada.
