1. On November 15, Post received the following diplomatic note from
the Government of Jamaica's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign
Trade (MFAFT):

" The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade presents its
compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America and has
the honour to refer to the latter's Note No. 287/07 dated 2nd
October 2007, presenting an Application for Consent to Conduct
Marine Scientific Research in areas under jurisdiction of Jamaica
for the R/V Corwith Cramer (file number 2007076).
The Ministry wishes to advise that the Honourable Minister of
National Security has granted permission for the 'R/V Corwith
Cramer', a private research vessel operated by Sea Education
Association, to conduct marine scientific research in waters subject
to the jurisdiction of Jamaica from 24th November, 2007 to 31st
December, 2007.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade avails itself of this
opportunity to renew to the Embassy of the United States of America
the assurances of its highest consideration. "
