1. On the afternoon of September 6, Embassy received an advance
facsimile of the following diplomatic note from the Government of
Jamaica (GoJ)'s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade
(MFAFT):

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade presents its
compliments to the Heads of Diplomatic Missions and International
Organizations accredited to Jamaica and has the honour to inform
that Mr. Bruce Golding, M.P., will be sworn in as Prime Minister of
Jamaica on Tuesday, 11th September 2007, at 4:00 p.m., on the lawns
King's House, under the auspices of the Governor-General, His
Excellency the Most Honourable Professor Kenneth O. Hall, O.N. O.J.

The Ministry has the further honour to invite the attendance of
Heads of Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations at the
Ceremony and to request those Heads who wish to be accompanied by
their spouses to so indicate by telephone, by Friday, 07th September
2007, to facilitate the appropriate seating arrangements.
