Post delivered reftel talking points on April 26 to Dinesh
Bhattarai, Joint Secretary for the United Nations and
International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, stressing the importance of Nepal's participation in
the first session of the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom I)
from April 30-May 11, 2007. Bhattarai said that Nepal would
participate in PrepCom I, and planned to send representatives
from its UN mission in New York. Bhattarai stressed that
Nepal's position against non-proliferation was "very clear"
and would remain so.
