(C) On October 30, Emboff met with outgoing Foreign Ministry 
Joint Secretary for UN Affairs Dinesh Bhattarai to urge the 
Government of Nepal (GON) to support U.S. Comptroller General 
David Walker for the UN Independent Audit Advisory Committee. 
 Bhattarai noted Walker's strong qualifications and assured 
Emboff of the GON's support. He also promised to have the 
Ministry's UN Affairs Section so instruct Nepal's delegation 
in New York.
