On October 2, Post received official notice from the
Government of Nepal Ministry of Foreign Affairs that Nepal
would support the U.S. candidate, Felice Gaer, to the United
Nations Committee Against Torture at the election to be held
in Geneva on October 8, 2007. The Ministry further expressed
its belief that the mutual exchange of support and
cooperation would go a long way in enhancing common endeavors
of issues of mutual interest.
