PolCouns, accompanied by Russian Counselor Sergei Lobanov, delivered reftel demarche March 14 to Mohammad Koba, Head of Section for Itra-State Conflict in the Department of Foreign Affairs Directorate of International Security and Disarmament. Koba was assigned to receive the demarche at the last minute and thus was not knowledgeable about the issue. He was accompanied by Adhyanti Sardanarini Wirajuda, who works on nuclear issues within the directorate, and is a daughter of the Foreign Minister. They took on board the suggestion that the contents of the statement of principles were very much in line with Government of Indonesia foreign policy and promised to study it closely. ¶2.
