PolCouns delivered reftel demarche to the Department of
Foreign Affairs' Director for North and Central American
Affairs Harry Purwanto and his deputy, Trini Gunarti, on July
17. Purwanto was unaware of the issues surrounding the IOM
DG selection process, noting that Indonesia holds observer
status at the IOM. He promised to pay closer attention to
this matter as the election approaches. Mission will report
separately any additional information received.
