(C) We conveyed reftel's specific request for Jakarta to Desra Percaya, Director for International Security and Disarmament at the Department of Foreign Affairs, on April ¶26. Percaya seemed unfamiliar with the issue but showed interest, and attached particular importance to the fact that the three African states on the Security Council strongly favored the proposal.
