PolChief discussed subject request with Anssi Leino,
Counselor in the Finnish MFA's Unit for the Middle East, and
urged Finland to consider matching or exceeding its
2004-2005 contribution of USD 1.35 million to the Distinct
Entity Trust Fund. Leino could not specify now the exact
amount of Finland's contribution, which is still the subject
of interagency discussion. However, he confirmed that
Finland intends to make a contribution to the DETF this year
and will inform us as soon as an exact amount is approved.
