(SBU) On May 18, Poloff met with MFA International Organizations
Department Expert Dang Quoc Hung to deliver reftel points on the
scope of Operational Paragraph 5 of UNSCR 1747. Hung took note of
the U.S. position advocating a broad interpretation and said he
would report this information to MFA leadership. The MFA is
currently in the process of preparing Vietnam's UNSCR 1747 report.
Hung mentioned that Vietnam has no arms trade with Iran.
