On November 21, Poloff met with MFA International Organizations
Department Desk Officer Ngo Thi Xuan Ha to deliver reftel diplomatic
note and CV in support of the U.S. candidate for the UN Committee on
the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (Committee). Xuan Ha
explained that, to her knowledge, the GVN has not yet received any
requests to support other candidates to the Committee. She added
that the information about Mr. Prosper's candidacy would receive
careful consideration and that the Embassy would be informed as soon
as a decision is made.
