Luis Carranza, Director of Multilateral Policy at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, notified poloff on July 16 that
the GOG will support Ambassador Swing's candidacy for the
position of IOM Director General. He said that the GOG, like
the USG, does not support the re-election of AmCit Brunson
McKinley and would like to see new developments in the
organization under different leadership.
