1.(SBU) In the course of a meeting with the Minister of
Foreign Affairs on October 23, Charge and political officer
left a non-paper with points drawn from reftel. A new
government has come into office in Sierra Leone following
elections in August and September. The new Minister of
Foreign Affairs has just been appointed and has taken up her
duties this week. While the Minister was receptive to the
information presented, it is unclear what instructions will
be conveyed. MFA Director General Ambassador Umaru Wurie is
currently in New York for UNGA meetings.
