On July 24, the Ambassador delivered reftel demarche to
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General Umaru Wurie. The
Ambassador described Ambassador Swing's qualifications and
vast experience in the Foreign Service. Wurie responded that
his Government would support Ambassador Swing's nomination
for the Director General position in next year's election.
