The Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) recognizes its obligation to provide consular notification and access, and regularly notifies the Embassy when an Amcit has been detained or arrested. ¶2. Post can find no evidence that there is a recognized private right of action against the GoSL for failure to provide consular notification, or any remedies available to private parties for failure to provide consular notification and/or access. Likewise, post can find no evidence that any attempts to draft such laws or statutes have been made by the GoSL. HULL
