(SBU) As follow-up to Post's reftel demarche on June 18,
Janice McGann, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Third
Secretary for UN Affairs, confirmed with Pol/Econ Chief on
SIPDIS
June 25 that she had circulated information to the Irish
Central Bank and Departments of Justice and Finance on the
U.S. designation of the Iranian entities and individuals
listed in reftel. She committed to contact Post if the GOI
discovered any activities in, or connections to, Ireland
involving the designated entities and individuals.
