President Jakaya Kikwete sent a condolence letter to President Bush on behalf of the people and Government of Tanzania following the death of former United States President Gerald Ford. The letter was transmitted by Diplomatic Note AB 428/710/01 from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 27 December 2006. The complete text follows (Para 2). ¶2. USA Your Excellency, I have received with great sadness announcement of the passing away of the former President of the United States of America, H.E. Gerald Ford.
