Two days later, Ambassador Ndiaye told DCM that he was leaving for Geneva for the Human Rights Council session. Asked about Senegalese support for U.S. priorities, Ndiaye said Senegal did not support a special session on "Myanmar." As for Sudan, Ndiaye declined to be drawn out. Finally, in keeping with past practice and in spite of Senegal's own record of religious tolerance, Embassy expects Senegal to support Organization of the Islamic Conferences (OIC) resolutions to curry favor with Arab donors in the run-up to the OIC summit that will probably take place in Dakar in March 2008.
