1. (U) Post has received confirmation from the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs that President Abdoulaye Wade will lead the
Senegalese delegation to the 62nd United Nations General
Assembly. The delegation will also include but may not be
limited to:
--Mrs. Viviane Wade
--Cheikh Tidiane Gadio, Minister of Foreign Affairs
--Mr. Omar Ba, with the rank of Minister, Foreign Affairs
Advisor to the President
--Mr. Pierre Diouf, with the rank of Ambassador, Foreign
Affairs Advisor to the President
--Ambassador Abdou Salam Diallo, Foreign Affairs Advisor to
the Prime Minister
--Ambassador Mankeur Ndiaye, Director of the Cabinet
(under-secretary equivalent),Ministry of Foreign Affairs
--Mr. Mame Baba Cisse, Director for International
Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
--Mr. Paul Sarr, Head of the United Nations division,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs
2. (U) The delegation has not yet requested interpretation
for bilateral meetings
3. Travel itineraries have not been finalized but it is
understood that President and Mrs. Wade will be in New York
prior to the beginning of the General Assembly
