(C) Poloff has discussed the Global Initiative to Combat
Nuclear Terrorism with appropriate MFA Disarmament Office
officials on several occasions. Egypt is studying the
initiative at the National Committee level, but has not
decided whether to endorse the statement of principals. MFA
officials have said that they do not need any more
information from us at this time and that they will get back
to us when they have completed their study.
