(U) Econoff spoke with Amr Hashem, telecommunications policy
advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information
Technology, regarding the March 6 WTO Information Technology
Agreement (ITA) Committee informal meeting as per ref.
Hashem was unaware of the March 6 meeting, and has no plans
to attend. However, he is planning to attend an ITA
Committee meeting in Geneva in late March. Econoff will
raise ref points with Hashem closer to that time.
