Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for the Levant, on November
¶27. Zeinaldeen welcomed the information. He noted his
impression that the USG is approaching the situation in Iraq
in a more pragmatic way, and genuinely seeking input from
friendly Arab states. He opined that this view is
increasingly held within the GOE.
