addressed issues raised in ref a demarche request. Romania
is a sponsor. Romania supports the USG position against
amendments and other attempts to dilute the importance of
signifying the specific condemnation of rape as a state
instrument of terror. Romania will, however, not break ranks
with the EU consensus on this issue.
