(informal translation):

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate for
United Nations Organizations and Specialized Institutions
(DONUIS),presents its greetings to the Embassy of the United
States and has the honor to request the valuable support of
the United States of AMERICA for Romania's candidacy to the
UNESCO World Heritage Committee, for which elections will
take place in Paris, in the period of 24-25 October 2007.
The Romanian part would appreciate especially the support of
the Washington Authorities for Romania's candidacy as
mentioned above.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania -DONUIS- takes
this opportunity to renew to the Embassy of the United States
the assurances of its highest consideration.
