(C) The Belgian government strongly opposes the Belarus
candidacy for the UN Human Rights Council, according to
Francine Chainaye, the Director for Human Rights at the
Belgian MFA. Chainaye confirmed that Belgium and other EU
members are actively canvassing against Belarus. Based on
information received from the French, she believed Bosnia's
