1. Post requests the Department's assistance in screening the
following candidate who has been nominated for training sponsored by
the United States, pursuant to the Leahy Act and Foreign Assistance
Act. Post has no confirmed derogatory information on the
candidate.
2. The following candidate is nominated for the Ammunition
Specialists course, 09 April - 03 July 2007.
-- NAME: JAMES, Verden
-- POSITION: Armorer, Sergeant, 26 years service, SVC# 467
-- NATIONALITY: St. Vincent and the Grenadines
-- ORGANIZATION: Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force
-- DPOB/Sex: 20 March 1958, St. Vincent, Male
3. Post recognizes that there are fewer than the requisite 10
business days between the request for vetting assistance and the
start of the training course. Post is not/not requesting expedited
service or special consideration. Given the length of the course,
Post is willing to send the candidate later in April, following the
tried and true rule of better late than never. Post appreciates the
Department's assistance.
