1. (SBU) POLOFF discussed reftel points with Denisa
Frelichova, Deputy Director of the Department for
International Organizations on November 28. Frelichova said
Slovakia will withhold its vote on the three resolutions in
accordance with the common policy of the EU.
2. (C) Frelichova added that Slovakia would support an EU
decision to vote against the three resolutions, but that in
this instance EU unity is more important than the individual
resolutions. She appreciated the President's efforts to
broker a new Peace Process in Annapolis and opined that,
whatever skepticism European media may express, she is
personally convinced that the US is finally on the right
track.
