congratulatory letter from Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev
to President Bush. The letter notes the importance of joint
efforts against international terrorism, and the development
of economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and the United
States. The original letter will be pouched to SCA/CEN.

Dear Mr. President,

On behalf of the people of the Kyrgyz Republic and myself, I
would like personally to congratulate you on Independence Day
of the United States of America.

Kyrgyzstan highly values the mutually advantageous character
of our relations and gives priority to the development of
partnership with the United States of America.

I am confident that a high level of cooperation exists
between our countries, evident in our joint efforts against
the global threat of international terrorism, and the
widening of trade and economic relations.

Allow me to offer, Mr. President, my confidence and high
level of respect to you, and also peace, goodness and
prosperity to the people of the United States of America.
