(SBU) The Deputy Chief of Mission, Lee Litzenberger, chaired a meeting of the Bishkek Emergency Action Committee (EAC) on December 21, 2007, to evaluate the security posture for the Holiday Season. Present were the DCM, RSO, DAO, CON, MGT, POL/ECON, POL/RA, AID, CLO, MSG DET COM. ¶2. (SBU) The RSO informed the EAC that there is no information on any new security threats. All security levels and actions should remain the same. ¶3. (SBU) The EAC discussed possible post election protest concerns, concluding that there is no information regarding any planned, large protests. There have been reports of small protests around the area. The mobile patrol has checked on all reported protest finding no immediate threat to mission personnel or facilities. RSO stated that the mobile patrol will continue with their normal checks and the RSO will assess any reported protest. ¶4.
