(S) German MFA Director General for Economics and Sustainable
Development Peter Ammon informed EMIN February 19 the German
Government had looked into the potential sale of an intaglio
web-press by German firm Drent Goebel to the DPRK, including
getting into direct contact with Drent Goebel. Ammon
reported that Drent Goebel had told the German Government
officials that although it was discussing such a sale with
the DPRK a couple of years ago, the firm had dropped plans to
sell or export a press to North Korea.
