(U) After consulting with local OSCE officials in Belgrade, and internally with relevant Mission agencies, post recommends the following projects for funding. The projects selected represent a number of mission and OSCE priorities including democratization, counter-terrorism and the resolution of regional conflicts. ¶2. (U) Training journalists in the Sandzak region - Euro 11K. ¶3. (U) Continued support of project previously funded by USG on combating money laundering and financial crime - Euro 65K. ¶4. (U) Support for the only independent and objective radio in the Sandzak region - Euro 25K. ¶5. (U) Support of a multi-ethnic community center in South Serbia - Euro 26K. ¶6. (U) Training journalists on the law on free access to information (follow-up to a project previously funded by USG - Euro 14K. ¶7. (U) Training of court-appointed Roma translators - Euro 40 K. ¶8. (U) Training journalists on Economic Reporting - Euro 91K. ¶9. (U) Fighting Discrimination through support of Young Roma Women's Network - Euro 16K. ¶10. (U) The purchase of additional photography equipment for three Ministry of Interior Secretariats to increase their surveillance capabilities and improve their ability to fight organized crime - Euro 25K.
