¶1. (U) On July 31, 2007, poloff met with representatives of the
Serbian MFA to request Serbian support for the candidacy of Steve
Carr to the Standing Commission of the International Red Cross and
Red Crescent Movement, per reftel request. Serbia is unable to give
an answer at this time, but will carefully consider Carr's
candidacy. Before deciding Serbia will wait for other nominations
to be announced. Any additional information received will be
forwarded.
