Committee at the mid-October Party Congress, has been
appointed president of the Central Party School (CPS),
according to University of Denver China scholar Zhao Suisheng
(please protect). In a meeting with PolOff on December 11,
Zhao (who is an American citizen) said that while he was
attending a conference at CPS on December 8, Xi arrived on
campus to meet with the school's administrators. Zhao's
interlocutors stated that Xi's appointment was "an open
secret" but that they did not know when it would be formally
