(C) POLOFF informed MFA Arms Control and Disarmament Department Missile Division Third Secretary He Yi on May 18 of six new Iranian entities designated under Executive Order 13382 for activities supporting Iran's nuclear program. Poloff emphasized that such designations are part of our efforts to ensure effective implementation of UNSCRs 1737 and ¶1747. ¶2. (C) He Yi promised to share our information with senior MFA officials. He asked the United States to lift the E.O. 13382 designations of four Chinese firms, saying that our bilateral nonproliferation cooperation has improved dramatically in the last year and that the designations should be reassessed in that light.
