UNDER ASEAN-U.S. ENHANCED PARTNERSHIP PLAN OF ACTION

¶1. (SBU) DCM delivered reftel points and proposed economic
agenda on January 18 to Kai Lip Ang, Second Secretary,
Multilateral Economic Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Trade (MFAT). Ang said that he would make sure
the right people at the MFAT saw our draft prior to the
meetings in Kuala Lumpur.
¶2. (SBU) As of reftel deadline, the GoB has not/not provided
us with any comment on the draft action plan. Should any
comment be forthcoming, we will forward it to the U.S.
delegation via e-mail to AmEmbassy Kuala Lumpur.
