Ministry of Foreign (MFA) Security Affairs officer Vugar
Gurbanov on July 31 on Azerbaijan's current standing with the
International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of
Nuclear Terrorism. Gurbanov said that Azerbaijan had signed
the convention, and that it currently had all the necessary
legislation in place to introduce the bill to the Parliament
for ratification. He thought that this would take place
during the fall session of Parliament, but was not sure. He
also noted that ratifying this treaty was not a priority for
Azerbaijan, as Azerbaijan had already implemented the
practical steps of this law.
