1. (C) Ambassador delivered reftel demarche to Azerbaijani
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on July 24. Mammadyarov
assured Ambassador that he would investigate the matter of
the Nuclear Terrorism Convention (NTC) further, and said he
thought the convention afforded another opportunity for
bilateral cooperation. We will follow up with Mammadyarov on
this matter and report any new developments.
