(U) Poloff delivered ref points to MFA Americas Desk Officer
Tamerlan Vahabov on April 13. Poloff ensured that the MFA
was aware of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO)
Congress in Geneva 7-25, 2007 and welcomed any comments
regarding ref issues. Vahabov stated that Xumayra Tagiyeva,
Acting Director of the National Hydrometeorology Department
(part of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources) would
attend the Congress. Azerbaijan's sole objective for the
meeting is to participate in the elections of the WMO
management.
