1. (SBU) This is a request for guidance. See para 3.
2. (S) National Security Advisor Rubaie provided us with a
copy of the draft Intelligence and National Security Law
(e-mailed to NEA-I),as approved by the National Intelligence
Coordination Committee and relevant agencies. According to
Rubaie, the draft legislation will be sent to the State Shura
Council for legal drafting. It will then go to the Council
of Ministers before making its way to the Council of
Representatives.
3. (S) RFG: We request interagency guidance/comments on the
draft Intelligence and National Security Law NLT COB Friday,
January 26.
