Office, Terumi Matsuo, told Pol Chief on 1/24 that Paraguay
shared the U.S. desire for full GOI compliance with UNSCR
¶1737. Paraguay attaches importance to decisions that emerge
from the UN and supports engaging Iran through the UN.
COMMENT: To date, Paraguay has declined Iranian overtures to
establish closer commercial and political ties. END COMMENT.
