Embassy Ashgabat conveyed via a diplomatic note to the Government of
Turkmenistan on August 29 U.S. satisfaction with the results of the
third meeting of the U.S.-Central Asia Trade and Investment
Framework Agreement (TIFA) Council, held July 17-19 in Washington.
As requested reftel, the EMBASSY requested the Government of
Turkmenistan's response to all follow-up issues from the TIFA
meeting. Any substantive response will be reported septel.
