(U) Embassy passed the Report on Human Rights Practices, including the preface, the introduction and the chapter on Turkmenistan, via diplomatic note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Embassy delivered the English version of the report to the Government of Turkmenistan on March 8, while the Russian and Turkmen versions were provided on April 5. Post requested the Ministry to forward copies of the report to appropriate government authorities dealing with human rights issues. ¶2. (U) Embassy also posted the English and Turkmen versions of the report, including the preface, the introduction and the chapter on Turkmenistan, on its website on April 5.
