Embassy Ashgabat received a response from the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Turkmenistan on November 19 to the Embassy's diplomatic
note requesting that the Government of Turkmenistan support the U.S.
candidacy for re-election to the Council in category "A" of the
International Maritime Organization (IMO) (REF B). The Ministry of
Foreign Affairs stated that Turkmenistan supports the U.S.
candidacy.
