SUBJECT: MADAGASCAR SEEKS AGREMENT FOR NEW AMBASSADOR TO WASHINGTON
1. On April 2, Post received two Diplomatic Notes, both dated March
23, 2007. One gave formal notice of the recall of Malagasy
Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Mr. NARISOA Rajaonarivony,
while the other sought agrement for his replacement, Mr. RADIFERA
Jocelyn Bertin. Diplomatic notes and accompanying C.V. of Mr.
Bertin will be scanned and emailed, and originals sent via
Diplomatic Pouch Registry Number 882379, attention AF/E Desk Officer
Maria Beyzerov. Translations of the notes follow in Paragraphs 2
and 3. Please advise what formal response we should make.

that the Malagasy Authorities have abrogated the appointment of
H.E.Mr. NARISOA Rajaonarivony as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
Ambassador.
The Ministry would be very grateful if the Embassy could forward
that information to the relevant U.S. Authorities.
