Royal Court Bassem Awadallah on December 5. Awadallah
responded that Jordan fully agrees on the need for immediate
Lebanese presidential elections without linkage to other
issues like cabinet formation or its agenda. He stated that
the GOJ is working privately and vigorously with multiple
parties to that end. Awadallah also noted that the GOJ does
not intend to make public statements on the issue at this
time.
